C.S. Enlisted and NCOs Frock Coat (Confederate)
Confederate soldiers may occasionally be seen in some period photographs wearing a single breasted frockcoat. Research indicates that most, if not all, enlisted frockcoats were custom made for a soldier, probably at home. Some appear to have been without any trim, while others had branch of service trim colors on the collar and cuffs. Our coat is made with the collar and cuff trim colors unless specified otherwise. Our enlisted frockcoat features as standard our 19 ounce field service wool and has a natural muslin upper body lining (lined to the waist). It is available in a 6, 7, 8 or 9 button front. The coat has two large buttons on the back at the waistline and the cuffs have 2 small buttons. An inside left breast pocket is standard, as are pockets in the folds of the skirt. Other variations of this coat are available, please write supplying photos and documentation for quotation. Coat is available in Brown Grey, Medium Grey, Richmond Grey and Tan Butternut wool; or the extra cost Cadet Grey and Wooljean (Wooljean requires FULL LINING). All frockcoats have a raw bottom skirt edge as per most original uniforms (except wooljean).  The
Musicians trimmed enlisted frockcoat is a reproduction of a musician's frockcoat copied from an original in the Museum of the Confederacy. Except for the musicians trim, it is the standard enlisted frock coat.

Size: 36-56
